New Year, New Stuff, New Friends

This is my first blog, so please bear with me for any ramblings that may not make sense.

This will be our 5th year of homeschooling.  I have an 11 1/2 year old son and a 10 year old daughter.  We have tried all different styles of homeschooling, from conventional "schooling" to eclectic to unschooling.  I am happy to come to the conclusion that they all work for us at different times for different subjects.    I have finally relaxed enough to let my kids tell me what works…

So, this week, on Tuesday, he got in the car griping that Mr. Naff was… Continue

Almost there!

We are so close now!! Only 4 more weeks until we arrive in Alabama permanently. We have found a beautiful house in Legacy of Monrovia in Harvest and are busily packing our stuff here in Virginia. We are trying to be optimistic about the hs groups in and near Huntsville. We were involved in a co-op type group here in Virginia, but unfortunately it didn't result in any strong friendships for my daughter.

Anna has been considering trying public/private school again because of the… Continue
